064: The Passion Suffered by the Heart of Jesus with Laura Durant

Laura wrote a beautiful book, The Passion Suffered by the Heart of Jesus: Prayerful Reflections on the Stations of the Cross, and I couldn’t put it down! Yes, I binge-read this heart-touching book because it really spoke to my brokenness. This book reminds me of how much I am loved by Jesus, and that, there is no amount of brokenness that God’s love cannot transcend with the gift of Jesus on the Cross.

Laura Marie Durant grew up in Central Texas and is a cradle Catholic. She writes prayers and reflections on her blog, HealingHeartofJesus.com, specifically for those with anxiety, depression and emotional wounds.

From an early age Laura experienced anxiety and depression, and as with many people who experience anxiety and depression, she also experienced her share of emotional wounds.

God, in His great mercy, led her to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Through silent prayer, Adoration and resting in the Heart of Jesus, Laura has found inner healing and peace. Through meditating on the life and Passion of Christ, Laura has found the path to emotional healing – living within and loving with the Heart of Jesus.

Laura is also the author of The Passion Suffered by the Heart of Jesus: Prayer Reflections on the Stations of the Cross. Laura lives in Leander, Texas with her husband, John, and bulldog, Winston.
